My passion is creating equine inspired experiences to introduce people to the beautiful, healing side of horses and their wisdom. Facilitating a connection experience with horses is the perfect opportunity to help people learn how to connect more authentically with others, and in some cases themselves. Stronger relationships build stronger communities.
We have transitioned all equine assisted learning experiences and programs from Unbridle It to Unbridled Pathways (501c3), to support our ongoing Program Development and facilitation efforts. Partial proceeds from each event is contributed to the Unbridled Pathways Give Back Fund

Meet Kate Shook
After 2 years without the ideal collaborative partner, herd and safe space to launch the Unbridled Pathways programs, I’m so excited to introduce Kate Shook. Our serendipitous meeting via LinkedIn opened the door to discussions that revealed many parallels over the past almost 20 years, in our quest to create experiences highlighting the power of the horse-human connection. I’m excited about the growing momentum for our events.
Kate Shook is a third-generation horsewoman who possesses a heart centered bond with horses. This bond resulted in many years of success in the show ring as a top trainer for multiple breeds and disciplines. With a BS in Psychology and over 20 years experience with helping people navigate life’s chapters through horse wisdom, Kate and her herd offer a safe space to take the reins to move forward for more success in business and life. Kate’s ability to convey the heart of the horse to the human is awe inspiring.

Join us on this transformative journey where we explore the energy of the upcoming “9” year (2+0+2+5). From Karen M. Winkelman’s e-book, “The 9-year indicates completion or ending. It asks you to let go of things from your past, re-evaluate just about everything, and decide if you wish to carry it into the new cycle. “ This retreat will be all about contemplation, compassion and completion in preparation for 2025.
Our home base for the weekend is a beautiful home in Cave Creek, AZ, just minutes from the horses. We encourage all women to stay with us so we can keep the container and energy flowing. This desert oasis, offers us with a beautiful pool, hiking trails and plenty of private spaces indoors and out for reflection of the weekend’s inspirations.
Your investment includes most meals, materials, welcome reception and discussion about the Power of the upcoming 9 year as well as mini numerology readings detailing what 2025 has in store for you. Registration includes a shared room with your own bed in the private host home, designed to foster camaraderie and connection.

Boots, Bourbon & BBQ – the FUNdraiser
Join us for this FUNdraiser that brings the community together for some of the best food, drinks and music that Cave Creek has to offer and all for a great cause. We are soo excited to partner with Arizona Horseback Adventures to provide the perfect setting surrounded by horse energy. This year our focus is to raise funds to support our new “Unbridled Confidence” Program for Tween Girls at a local middle school.
In addition to adding the horses we are bringing back a few local vendors for some extra holiday shopping.

– Live music from Pandy Raye and friends
– Bourbon & vodka tasting from Carefree Spirits Distillery and bourbon tasting from a new partner this year 4 Branches Bourbon
– Raffle prizes 50/50 and silent auction items from our local restaurants and businesses to help us support our locals.
– Fred Astaire Dance – Cave Creek will be back with dance lessons that have been a big hit!
$75 – per person includes bourbon and vodka tasting BBQ raffle ticket
$225 – VIP package includes 2 tickets for event VIP parking and seating as well as express check-in and a VIP bag of surprises (you know we’ll have some good stuff in there!).
Fundraising focus –
“Unbridled Confidence” is an innovative program designed to empower middle school-age girls through the profound connection between humans and horses. This program focuses on personal growth self-confidence improved social skills and emotional validation. Self-confidence plays a significant role in understanding boundaries building resilience to negative or self-harming peer pressure and preventing bullying. This new project to scheduled to be launched in the Fall at Sonoran Trails Middle School in Cave Creek AZ. Your contributions will ensure that this program is offered to girls of all socio-economic backgrounds in our community.
